The service is Christchurch-based and is for customers who can ship or deliver their console within New Zealand.

What's included in a Frankenstein Mod
The mod focuses on restoring long-term stability and reducing heat-related failures.
NEC Tokin replacement
Original NEC Tokin capacitors replaced with high-grade Tantalizers.
Voltage stabilisation
Board-level modification to stabilise voltage.
Thermal optimisation
Full thermal optimisation to reduce heat.
RSX GPU swap
Where required, the original 90nm processor is replaced with a lower-power 65nm or 40nm variant for reliability and less heat.
Every console is fully inspected, rebuilt and tested for stability before completion.

Bench / diagnostic fee
$50Full inspection and syscon error code readout. Paid up front.
NEC Tokin replacement
$175Failed NEC Tokin capacitors replaced with high-quality Tantalizers. Improves RSX/Cell stability and prevents 1002/3003 power errors.
Delidding service (only)
$80Delidding for the RSX and Cell CPU. Re-paste included.
General shorts / faults
$120Board-level modification to stabilise power delivery in failing units. Only done if required.
Blu-ray drive repair / replacement
$190Repair or replacement of the Blu-ray drive only.
Wi-Fi module addition (B00 models only)

Diagnostic and bench fee: a diagnostic inspection is required before repair work begins, and a bench fee applies. If the repair does not go ahead, your console is returned in its assessed condition.

Which consoles do you service?
CECHA, CECHB, CECHC and CECHE models. Other variants are assessed on request.
Can I send my console from outside New Zealand?
No. This service is available exclusively within New Zealand.
What happens if my console can't be repaired, or I decide not to go ahead?
A diagnostic inspection is required first, and a bench fee applies. Your repair path is confirmed with you before any work proceeds, and if the repair does not go ahead, your console is returned in its assessed condition.
Who pays for shipping?
You do, both ways, within New Zealand.
How long will it take?
Typically 2–3 weeks, depending on the scope of the repair.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes. All completed units carry a 6 month workmanship warranty.
